General McLane’s baseball program struck gold on the silver anniversary of its 2001 District 10 championship team.
Gold being the color of the medals the Lancers received for their dramatic Memorial Day upset of the Cathedral Prep Ramblers.
McLane withstood Prep’s furious rally in the bottom of the seventh inning for an emotional 4-3 victory at Slippery Rock University’s Jack Critchfield Park. – Mike Copper
